BACK AT THE NJ SHORE

We arrived at our shore home and enjoyed some beautiful weather. Now that the screens are up, the oudoor furniture out and some of the flowers planted, it has turned cold and rainy. No pictures yet this year, so I'll add a couple that are prize winners for the NE Boating Magazine, and will appear in the July addition. The 3rd one was accepted in the Down The Shore 2009 calendar for New Jersey. A good start for this year, or end to last summer.

MOUNTAINS IN SNOW

As we prepare to drive east to the "Jersey shore" and a long awaited glimpse of spring, the snow is still falling in the mountains. So I decided to put a few last pictures of our mountains here in Crested Butte, Colorado in winter, before reminiscing about last summer's warm weather travels.
There is no more beautiful view in the morning than sunrise over Paradise Divide.
Paradise Divide in daylight
Snow is a blessing as it covers boulders and trees,
Mountains and forests,
The back bowls of the Ski area,
And even in town, most of the time.
Slate River Valley remains one of my favorite places,
With Mt Emmons and Red Lady Bowl to the West,

And a glimpse of Gothic Mountain over Snodgrass to the East.
This year it was very difficult to take photo from the roadside because of the height of the snowdrifts.
But it was a skier's delight!
